Garage Key Group
Once upon a time, there were three very different artitsts who
were friends: Rebecca Boatman was a ceramic artist who worked in mixed
media sculptures. Chris Fulmer painted large canvases & incorporated
found objects in her symbolic works. Sandra Heller worked plein aire in
oil & pastels. Every Friday, they would leave their respective studios
& get together for a sip of wine. One Friday they decided it would
be fun to work while drinking!Since they all worked so differently, they
came up with all sorts of new ideas & soon their new art was in galleries.
The artists decided they must find a name . . . so they selected their
weekly toast, "Garagekey." What is Garagekey, you ask? Why it's what Sandra's
grandmother always said before imbibing. And now you know the story!
