About Us    .    .    .

Memphis Marsha's Grand Opening & Chamber of Commerce Ribbon cutting was in September, 2002. Longtime Bowling Green artist, Marsha Heidbrink, rennovated a one room, one story building into a two floor 1,800 square foot mini art center. In its previous lives, the building had been a diner & a dog groomer. Using the building & the owner's time era, & her heritage from Memphis, Marsha painted the place inside & out with visitor friendly colors: lime green, coral, aqua, & magenta. None of that sterile white feeling for this place! Cardboard images of "Elvis" & "Marilyn" peer out of nooks & crannies. Studio work is done on red formica & chrome tables with a painted floor. The kitchen boasts a neon flamingo clock, & a couple of 50's era lamps with giggle-ugly shades complete the decor.

The Gallery represents over 20 fine artists from six US states & two foreign countries. The work includes jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, drawings, paintings, collage, photographs, & gifts.

To Three of Our Gallery Artists .    .    .

To Philip Holder!
Philip has a painting published on the cover of a book! The author, Doug Mosely of Plano, KY commissioned Philip to do a prisma color drawing for the book, A Table Speaks. The story is done in poem form, & it's from the table's viewpoint of telling family history by what it's heard around family meals. Philip worked with Mosely to create an image reminding the author of his grandmother's dining room. The book is offerd in limited numbers, & each book is numbered & autographed. Profits from the sale of the book, goes to the author & wife's favorite charities. The 146 page book is published by South Central Printing, Inc of Columbia, KY, 2004. It's available in Bowling Green, KY at The Book Gallery (the shopping center near the Greenwood Mall, beside HH Gregg Appliances).
