The artwork of one of Kim Soule's students at Drakes Creek Middle School was selected from among 5,500 submissions nationwide to be a part of an exhibit in Washington D.C., before beginning a two year tour to children's museums across the country. As a part of the event, the student will travel to Washington, all expenses paid, to attend the art exhibition & ribbon cutting. The art was a part of a class project that Soule led to make paintings on musical record albums, & Soule entered the work in the competition. Congratulations, Kim! |

David Yax has recently sent us a new selection of his work, & these pieces include ink, markers, spray paint, & pastel on paper; along with a found object assemblage sculpture. Most of the objects in his sculptures are found at Goodwill or from friends & family. His idea was to keep the rainforest wood from winding up in a landfill. In three of the paper pieces, David has hand-made the paper, then used bleach to get subtle tones for flowers. And all are priced very economically friendly & are very creative! David currently lives near the Cincinnati, Ohio area with his wife & daugher, & has been doing graphic design for over 20 years. Above Right: Four 3.5" x 5.5"images framed together: Flowers, Fish, Butterfly; Ink & Markers on Paper; White Mat; Black Frame; Framed Size: 10" High x 20" Wide. $40, plus shipping. KY residents add 6% sales tax. Come by the gallery to see more of his work! |
